During the renovation, the building was stripped down to its structural core. The collaboration between architect, contractor, and interior designer resulted in a cohesive design where every element connects to the whole.

The interior features exposed materials including sawn brickwork, visible concrete, steel, and wood. These honest materials are not finished to appear smooth but remain recognizable in their original form. Custom work characterizes the kitchen, bathroom, built-in cabinets, and technical spaces throughout the home.

The entrance floor consists of sawn bricks laid flat, creating a solid surface that responds to light and use throughout the day. Walls and ceilings display concrete and steel, with the construction serving as a guiding element for the space rather than remaining in the background.

The ground floor layout is based on a subtle shift in the floor plan, creating two naturally distinct zones. On one side, a coatroom, toilet, and technical room are compactly organized and kept out of sight from the living area. On the other side, the home opens up to the living spaces.

The living room has a calm, balanced proportion defined by fixed elements such as the fireplace and custom-built cabinets. The space can be closed off with a large pivot door, creating a more concentrated room. In the open position, the space flows continuously, establishing a direct connection with the rest of the house.

The kitchen forms its own zone within the whole. An olive-green color field gives the space a clear position without becoming dominant. The lowered ceiling accommodates the installations, keeping the visual impression calm. No upper cabinets were used, maintaining an open view and preventing the space from feeling closed in. A large round table serves as the focal point of use, a place where cooking, eating, and staying converge.

Under the stairs, a storage space was created behind a steel and glass door. This space is visible and becomes part of the interior. Usage is not hidden here but deliberately incorporated into the whole.

The transition to the outside occurs gradually. At the rear, a sheltered spot is created where inside and outside flow into each other. The home fully orients itself here toward the landscape and light.

The staircase to the upper floor is straight and designed without emphasis. On this floor, the logic of the house continues.

The bathroom is equipped with a freestanding bath, double vanity, and a spacious shower. A round window brings the landscape directly into the room. From the bath, there is a view outside, maintaining the orientation of the house here as well.

The main bedroom is located at the rear and is defined by a large round window. The view over the meadows is directly part of the space here. Adjacent is a walk-in closet that is fully custom-made and seamlessly connects to the bedroom.

A second room is currently used as a sports or wellness room but can easily be deployed as a bedroom. Additionally, there is a separate laundry room where installations and storage space are incorporated into cabinets, keeping everything out of sight while remaining easily accessible.

Above this floor is an attic space of approximately 50 square meters, well-suited for storage use.

At the rear of the property stand two shipping containers that have been merged into an independent space.
